Joint Commission Accredited

Because Imaging On Call is a Joint Commission accredited organization, you can be confident that our teleradiology physician credentialing information meets the highest of standards. The Joint Commission (JCAHO), an independent, not-for-profit organization, is the predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. JCAHO accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. Imaging On Call has undergone an unannounced, thorough on-site review and by demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, Imaging On Call has earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™, which allows hospitals to accept teleradiology physician credentialing information from other JCAHO approved facilities, such as Imaging On Call.

Imaging On Call Teleradiology Credentialing Options

  1. The first and easiest option is for hospitals to enter into an agreement with Imaging On Call to accept our teleradiology physician credentialing information. Because IOC has already credentialed its physicians, there is a significant price and time savings associated with this option.
  2. A second option is for hospitals to use the teleradiology physician credentialing information provided by Imaging On Call. In this case, a hospital may choose to verify the information and maintain its own teleradiology medical credentialing records. With this option, the Imaging On Call data could be used to supplement the slow-to-return verifications to the hospital’s credentialing department. Many hospitals will provide temporary hospital privileges while this process is underway.
  3. A third option is for hospitals to continue to do their own teleradiology medical credentialing and make no changes to the current process. This option is both time consuming and labor intensive.
